So Question #1 Is wearing makeup really bad for you? 

The truth is, as with any beauty product; makeup can cause contact dermatitis and aggravate preexisting skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea and acne. Generally speaking, makeup is only going to cause damage to your skin if it is left on for extremely long periods of time (such as overnight or days on end) and if the skin had not been properly cleansed & makeup has not been thoroughly removed.

Makeup can actually be beneficial for the skin. On a day to day basis skin comes into contact with environmental damage, pollution and of course sun rays. As makeup provides almost a “barrier” over the top of your skin, it can actually help to protect your skin from environmental damage and if it contains SPF, your makeup will help to protect against sun damage too. As long as makeup is thoroughly removed at the end of the day, makeup should not cause any harm to the skin. Make sure you give your skin a good double cleanse and use a toner to regulate the pH balance of your skin each night.

Question #2  How to fix broken Eyeshadows

                                            

Yes i know this could be a pain your you know what!!!!

But do not worry here what you can do

Step 1. Take your broken palette and place a plastic sandwich bag over the crushed remains. Use the back of a spoon or knife to break up any larger pieces until the eye shadow color is evenly crushed 

Step 2. Pour some rubbing alcohol into a small cup and remove the palette from the plastic bag. Grab a quarter or nickel depending on the eye shadow and wrap a paper towel around the coin.

Step 3: Take the wrapped coin and dip it into the rubbing alcohol. Take the soaked coin and paper towel and press down on your palette. Continue to dip the paper towel and coin and press around the palette until it is fully soaked and packed down tight.

Step 4:  Grab a piece of dry paper towel and press down on the palette to release any excess moisture and smooth out any bumps or ridges. Use a Q-tip to remove any remaining loose powder around the edges.

Step 5: Allow the palette to dry for approximately 4-8 hours in room temperature. Do NOT!!! use any form of heat as this will disrupt the drying process. Once the palette is dry, you are ready to begin using your new and improved shadow!

Dr. Caj  Makeup Traveling Tip: Try sticking a cotton ball or flat cotton pad in your blush and eye shadow cases to prevent shattering - be sure to wrap your makeup bag in a knitted scarf  or sweater for extra padding and support in your luggage.

Question #3 how to get rid of dark lips

ok one thing i love using is almond oil before bed helps lighting them also using cucumber juice as well (applying them to lips) also the cause of dark lips from licking them or genetics.

4 Ways to Make Your Curls Pop!

Here are 4 ways to make those curls pop!

1. Use gel- This one should be obvious. Gel is wet and acts as an activator. Once the gel dries, it preserves the curls in place and helps to ward off frizz. My suggestion: opt for an alcohol free option. Alcohol is super drying and causes insane flaking. If you’re feeling DIY, try this flax seed gel.

2. Use the sponge method- Take a regular sponge and cut small circular holes into it. Once all of your holes are cut out, move the sponge around your head in a circular motion. Your hair should be damp and have the product in it.

3. Re-wet your hair- If you did an awesome wash and go the day before and woke up looking like a matted mess, simply re-wet your hair. The water will reactivate the product you used the day before and your curls will emerge. Use your finger tips to encourage the curls and a bit of product to finish it off.

4. Keep hair moisturized- Curls love water and moisture. So, keep your hair moisturized to encourage shiny, tightly coiled curls. Like a plant or growing flower, water your hair with a spray bottle of water and oil daily.

So as i'm really hating Chicago weather right now. i had to do tell some of you ( i know some of you guys know about this already ) but if you do not .......

Wet n Wild Has the most prettiest Glitter Nail Color and yes im just started loving Glitter again While in CVS i Had to Check these Colors Out. I was about to pass on all of the polishes when I saw Gettin’ Amped and immediately freaked out slightly because OMG BLACK GLITTER!!! I get really excited about black glitter. Like….really excited.

Here are the new shades of Wet n Wild Mega Rocks Glitter Nail Color. They are now available at your local drugstores for $2.99. These are permanent for Spring 2014 

The Only thing i do not like is Slightly issues with application, I found as it was drying the glitter would start to slide off my nails.  And I hadn’t put huge thick coats on.  So that was a bit annoying as I kept dripping glitter onto my carpet….. the glitter Vs clear polish level isn’t great, so maybe a series of thin coats with a few bits of glitter to build it up.

Product Review: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner

Like my never-ending quest for the perfect eyeshadow, I’m always searching for an eyeliner that will actually stay where I put it.  Every eyeliner I use either just along my lash line or in my water line seems to smudge and smear. The biggest problem I have is that pretty much all of my eyeliners seem to smear under my eyes making little dark circle marks beneath my eyes. To be fair, my mascara is also usually to blame. I think I may have found an eyeliner that won’t smear, it isn’t a pencil, which is my preferred format, but it is well behaved and that counts for a lot.   

                                               

  

Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is a felt-tip style liquid eye liner pen. The tip comes to a fine point for precision application and is reasonably flexible for comfort. The pen’s cap closes very securely so you don’t have to worry about it popping off in your purse or makeup bag, leaving a huge mess. The color, intense black, is a very dark, true black and the finish is neither particularly glossy nor matte.

                                                                

 love using this pen to fill in between my eyelashes because the precision tip is so fine and skinny it can reach between my lashes without making a mess. Intense Black is a very appropriate name. This pen is an incredibly deep, true black that really makes your lash line look bold.

  Want to take this off  This isn’t a problem at all with Stila’s pen! I simply saturate a cotton swab with eye makeup remover or pure Almond or Grapeseed Oil and gently swirl or rub it over the liner and it comes right off without fuss or irritation.

I haven’t had any problems with this pen drying out or being inconsistent at all. Felt-tip style eyeliner pens have a tendency to dry out rather quickly. I’ve been using my Stila pen for several months and it’s still going strong.

2-step meditation

There are many techniques to practice meditation.First, we focus and calm the mind (concentration). Then, we use our concentrated mind to study something so we can understand it more clearly and deeply (investigation).   

Step 1: Concentration
Find a comfortable seated position and begin by closing your eyes and breathing in and out through your nose.

Choose an object of concentration and try to stay with it. The most common object of concentration is the breath. This is something we take with us where ever we  go and focusing on it often has a calming effect. You can focus on the breath at the nostrils or at the belly. After the mind becomes calm and concentrated, one can more easily use the mind to study thoughts, emotions and other questions

Step 2: Investigation

The more concentrated and calm the mind becomes, the more clearly we can see what is happening with our thoughts, our emotions and our lives.  For example, we can investigate a strong reaction we had to a situation. If our mind is calm, we can more clearly understand the root of the issue within us and not blame someone else for our reaction.

You can also ask yourself questions and see what answers come up. The answers that come from a calm mind are often very different that the ones that come from a busy mind. You can ask yourself simple questions, such as “Should I stay in this job?” or “Why am I so angry about this?” or bigger questions, such as, “Where does deep and lasting happiness come from?”

Training the mind takes time, just like a muscle. Be patient, and do not expect fast results. This kind of mental training is very new for many of us. Even when you don’t experience a calm mind, you can still learn a lot from meditation.

Above all, remember to be patient and gentle with yourself.
