Biore Charcoal Facial Cleanser
This new secret weapon from the Bioré Skincare Experts. It draw out and trap 2x more dirt and impurities than a basic cleanser with this innovative black cleanser that foams white and rinses clean. Infused with Japanese Skin Purifying Technology, this facial cleanser gives you results after just one use! Draws out and traps 2x more dirt and impurities than a basic cleanser, purifying pores to leave your face deeply cleaned and your skin tingly-smooth.
I've heard so many great things about this face wash and I've always loved Biore products. When I initially pumped out this facial wash, the consistency was very jelly like. It didn't feel like a typical face wash. I really like the scent of the Charcoal Facial Cleanser. It is very light.
While washing your face, there is a refreshing tingling sensation. It feels like the product is actually deep cleaning your pores. I have not used this product to remove makeup as I only wanted this product for deep cleaning. I felt that my skin was cleaned thoroughly and noticed a significant difference in my skin. The cleanser is very moisturizing and does not leave a tight feeling. I absolutely love products where I can feel that it is working and the charcoal cleanser does it!
I purchased this product for $6.49 from Walgreens. I am sure you can find coupons for it cause it it to just much but Biore products never fail to amaze me. I am still on the hunt for the Biore Charcoal Self Heating Mask, but I can’t seem to find it but once I get my hands on it, I will be sure to post a review.
Otherwise, I am pleased to say I am loving the Charcoal cleanser and I have recently incorporated in to my skin care routine (update coming soon). Definitely check out Biore and the rest of their Don’t Be Dirty line.

what the difference between Cold Pressed or Black Jamaican Castor Oils
castor oil and a common question that you ask me is if there is a difference between the clear store bought castor oil and black castor oil/ Jamaican black castor oil (JBCO). I finally have an answer for you!
1. Natural Castor Oil is Yellow
Natural castor oil is actually pale yellow when cold pressed. Cold pressing means there is no heat involved, castor beans are just squeezed at high pressure to extract oil out of the seed. The advantage of cold pressing is that you do not degrade any of the oil using heat.
The clear castor oil that you find in some shops is a result of filtering this natural yellow crude castor oil to further lower the iodine content which makes it yellow The higher the purity of the castor oil the lighter the color it will be.
Do note that cold pressing is not the only technique used to extract oil though, industrially some chemical solvents can be used, and the advantage of that is that it is less time consuming. The disadvantage is that with more people looking for more natural products, the idea that a chemical was used to produce the oil is not that attractive.
2. Black Castor Oil - Impurities are added
Many people believe that Jamaican black castor oil is more natural and the black color is related to it being less processed, but this is not true. The process of getting the dark colour involves adding ash from roasted castor beans into the oil This is the description from Sunny Isle JBCO
'Our Organic seeds are roasted and ground by a manual Grinder and then the crushed beans are boiled to extract the 100% pure, dark brown, organic oil. Compared to other brands it is the darkest Jamaican Black Castor Oil because we roast our beans longer which produces more Ash Content in our oil than any other oil on the market.'
I referred to the ash as an impurity because it is an addition to the oil rather than just the pure oil. Does this mean that BJCO is not good? No, it just means that it is not pure castor oil. Is the addition of ash beneficial? This is not known scientifically, it is definitely what the manufacturers claim.
